Solid Rock Church

Lux Mundi (Light of the World) Statue

In June of 2010 a rogue bolt of lightning struck and destroyed the “Christ the Redeemer” sculpture located on the church grounds. After several months of careful consideration, the church determined to resurrect a new statue in place of the old one.

In February of 2012 they contacted DDI and indicated their interest in working with us based on a recommendation from a shared vendor. Later that month we agreed to assist them in their efforts.

Completed in September of 2012, the new statue, called “Lux Mundi,” or Light of the World, stands 52’ tall and overlooks thousands of travelers each day as they pass by the church on Interstate 75 just north of Cincinnati. The fabrication, transport, and installation of the statue was all carefully and meticulously planned, and has resulted in an iconic landmark that will be enjoyed by many for years to come.
